Flow Pack / Flow Wrap packaging is a high-speed, large-volume process of loosely containing a product in sealed, tamper-resistant film. Seals are created at two ends of the package with another seal along the middle of the back of the package. This popular packaging method, which is formed on horizontal form, fill, and seal (HFFS) lines, is often used for food products such as snack bars, biscuits, dry baked goods, and in the non-food market, mainly for wet wipes.
The Pack ‘N’ Cycle film selection for Flow Pack / Flow Wrap laminates depends on package weight – for lower package weights Pack ‘N’ Cycle LC is an excellent choice. For higher package weights over 700 grams, Pack ‘N’ Cycle EL is recommended. Those films come with a low coefficient of friction (COF) version that is suitable for Flow Pack / Flow Wrap packaging lines.
