The Beverage Containers market was valued at $204 USD billion in 2020 and is expected to reach $284 USD billion by 2026, with a CAGR of over 5%. The expansion of this market is driven by new specialty beverages along with growing demand in Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Latin America. Contributing factors are rising disposable incomes and the growing population. Shrink films are used for labeling various beverage containers. The requirements for them include high and controlled one-directional shrink at low temperatures, precise gauge control, and excellent hot tack for high-speed sealing.
Polysack’s Polyphane™ Fit is a Machine Direction Oriented (MDO), high-shrink film designed for use in Roll-Fed Sleeves (RFS) labeling machines. In comparison to sleeve films made of PETG, OPS, and PVC, the low density of the polyolefin-based Polyphane™ Fit means that it floats in water, while PET flakes sink. This leads to an easy separation between the bottle and sleeve materials during washing of recycled bottle flakes and contamination-free recycling of both materials. When applied on HDPE beverage containers, polyolefin-based Polyphane™ Fit can be recycled together with the bottle.
